POLYMER BLEND FOR SYNTHETIC FILAMENTS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SYNTHETIC FILAMENTS

The invention relates to a method for the production of spunbonded fabrics made of plastic endless filaments composed of thermoplastic plastic, wherein the endless filaments are made of a plastic blend, wherein the plastic blend comprises a first polypropylene having a melt flow index (MFI) of 20 to 70 g/10 Min. and a second polypropylene having a melt flow index (MFI) of 300 to 3000 g/10 Min. The endless filaments are extruded from a spinneret and are then cooled in a cooling chamber by feeding cooling air. They are then aerodynamically drafted in a drafting unit. Except for feeding the cooling air, no additional air is fed into the unit comprising the cooling chamber and drafting unit. The drafting conditions during aerodynamic drafting are set with the stipulation that endless filaments having a titer smaller than 0.8 are obtained. The endless filaments are put on a storage place into a spunbonded fabric after aerodynamic drafting.
