The invention relates to an in vitro protein expression process comprising preparation of a nucleic acid molecule which comprises a fusion of a gene encoding a target protein and a gene encoding an immunoglobulin ? light chain constant domain (C?) followed by cell-free protein expression. The invention also relates to proteins expressed by said process and to a composition and kit for performing said in vitro protein expression process.
