PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyer driving system achieving reduced machining by reducing the number of components requiring accuracy. SOLUTION: An opening 13 is formed in the top of a gear box 10, and a mounting seat 14 fixing the mounting leg 16 of a driving electric motor 11 is formed around the periphery of the opening 13. By such constitution, the mounting seat surface 14S of the mounting seat 14 is simply machined precisely. Also, since no separate blocking member requiring accuracy for supporting the driving electric motor 11 is required, the number of components requiring accuracy is reduced.
