PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal capable of raising efficiency of short-distance communication without using a magnetic sheet of a large specific gravity. SOLUTION: The portable information terminal is mounted with: an antenna (A) for short-distance communication of electromagnetic induction type in which a coil is formed on at least one surface of a layer comprising a high dielectric; and an IC chip for short-distance communication.
