The seat i.e. passenger seat (1), has a seat part (2) and a backrest (3) pivotable together around an axle running transverse to a driving direction, where the axle is arranged within a connecting area of the seat part and the backrest. The seat part is adjustably held in rails, which run at perpendicularly running parts of an undercarriage transmission tunnel and lateral vehicle longitudinal carriers. The rails extend continuously over an entire length of the vehicle interior. An air discharge unit is provided in the backrest.
