<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic display device which can reduce the space between an electro-optical panel and lenticular lens. <P>SOLUTION: This electro-optical device which displays a multi-viewpoint image comprises an electro-optical panel 7, a first polarizing plate 35 which is oppositely arranged approximately in parallel on the display side of the electro-optical panel 7, and the lenticular lens 5 which is arranged between the electro-optical panel 7 and the first polarizing plate 35 and formed by arranging a plurality of cylindrical lenses 50 extended in the longitudinal direction in parallel to each other.
