<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of coping with the case in which a gradation vector is horizontal or vertical to a scanning line, easily generating a gradation pattern, and printing the gradation pattern at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: The printer capable of printing the gradation pattern has a vector information obtaining means for obtaining vector information present in gradation printing data, a determining means for determining color change of a gradation in a vertical direction, a horizontal direction, or an inclined direction based on the vector information, a making means for making vertical, horizontal, or inclined gradation pattern information based on the determining result, and a depicting means for carrying out the depicting processing of the gradation pattern based on the gradation pattern information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
