PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data receiver for receiving a digital modulated signal transmitted from a data transmitting device that increases transmission efficiency and transmits a data structure without depending on another data structure. SOLUTION: The data receiver 2 is provided with: a demodulating means 20 for demodulating a digital modulated signal; a frame decoding means 21 for detecting a transmission frame from a demodulated signal; a data area extracting means 22 for extracting a data area constituting the transmission frame from the transmission frame; a TMCC (Transmission add Multiplexing Configuration Control) information extracting means 24 for extracting pointer information showing the position of the data structure from a control area for controlling the data area constituting the transmission frame; and a data structure extracting means 27 for sequentially extracting the data structure from the data on the basis of the pointer information.
