PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control system allowing a controller to be disposed near a drive motor by inhibiting overheat of the controller controlling the drive motor. SOLUTION: This engine control system 1 is provided with a butterfly valve 80 at a merging part 55 of a bypass passage 70 and a cooler passage 60 provided on an EGR device 50. The drive motor 86 driving the butterfly valve 80 is controlled by the controller 87 provided separately from ECU 100 and disposed near the drive motor 86. The controller 87 is cooled by cooling water used for a cooler mechanism 65 before cooling exhaust gas. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
