<p>A device for use in a mass flow metering system comprises a flow conduit, a mark depositor, and a plurality of sensors for detecting variations caused by introduction of a mark into a flow medium. In one embodiment, each sensor detects variations in the flow medium. In another embodiment, one sensor detects diffusion and convection of the mark. Methods are also proposed for deriving flow rate of a medium, as well as detecting zero or sub-range flow rate.</p> |
