<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strongly retain an inflator of an airbag and reduce its manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A bracket 24 disposed inside the airbag and for retaining the rod inflator 22 is formed by being divided into two members composed of a base bracket 31 and a holding bracket 32. In a step of combining the bracket 24 with the inflator 22, while the base bracket 31 is along the inflator 22, the locking portions 53 of the retaining bracket 32 are hooked with the locking holes 46b of the locking receiving portions 46 of the base bracket 31 to rotate the retaining bracket 32 with the locking portion as an axis. Further, while the fixing holes 54a of fixing portions 54 are aligned with the circular holes 44a of fixing receiving portions 44, rivets 34 inserted into the fixing holes 54a and the circular holes 44a are caulked to join the fixing portions 54 with the fixing receiving portions 44. This can simplify a die used for manufacturing the bracket 24 to reduce the manufacturing cost.
