PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the computation cost compared to convention one. SOLUTION: The apparatus for enhancing image resolution includes: a means 104 for computing a first block size corresponding to a first size and a second block size corresponding to a second size as a block size, in response to the first size and the second size; a means 103 for computing a first position in a low resolution image of a block of the first block size and a second position corresponding to the first position in a high resolution image or a first image of a block of the second block size; means 101 and 102 for establishing the first block located in the first position and the second block located in the second position; and a means 105 for establishing a third block expressed by a second vector as a projection of a first vector indicating the second block on a high resolution block of the first block, within a linear manifold composed of a set of vectors indicating a block of the second block size to be the first block, by lowering resolution in an Euclid space of which the dimension is a product of the number of vertical pixels and the number of horizontal pixels of the second block size.
