<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a coating film, the method providing a multi-layered coating film excellent in gloss and including a step of baking and curing three layers of an intermediate coating film, a base coating film and a clear coating film at the same time, and to provide the multi-layered coating film. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming the multi-layered coating film is provided which is carried by successively applying an intermediate coating composition, a base coating composition and a clear coating composition on a base material formed with electrodeposition coating film and baking and curing three layers of the resultant uncured coating films at the same time, the intermediate coating composition is a solvent-borne intermediate coating composition and contains an urethane-modified polyester resin (a) having 4-10 ml water tolerance value at 23°C, a melamine resin (b) having 8-40 ml hexane tolerance value, a blocked isocyanate compound (c), a nonaqueous dispersion resin (d) and a flat pigment (e) and the base coating composition is a water-borne base coating composition containing an emulsion resin and a pigment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
