PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a river water level measuring system which can be stably and economically advantageously used over a long time even in a river with a lot of floating objects as well as accurately measure a water level without corrosion of a sensor even in an unclean river. SOLUTION: The river water level measuring system includes: a detector 2 which detects an inclufhydraulic pressure of a river; a metallic case frame 3 housing the detector 2 and having an aperture 31 formed on at least one side thereof; a thin film pressure-receiving sheet 4 covering the aperture 31 of the case frame 3 and having elasticity for transmitting the hydraulic pressure of the river to the case frame 3; and a window 51 exposing the pressure-receiving sheet 4. The river water level measuring system is provided with a window frame 5 holding the pressure-receiving sheet 4 on the aperture 31 of the case frame 3 to tightly seal the aperture 31, and a pressure transmitting medium 6 filled in the case frame 3 and transmitting the hydraulic pressure received by the pressure-receiving sheet 4 exposed at the window 51 to the detector 2.
