PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage chair capable of effectively improving the durability of a backrest part having a built-in massaging mechanism with a treatment device. SOLUTION: The inner cover member 33 and the outer cover member 34 disposed to close an opening of a back board are the parts on which a massaging ball 41a of the treatment device 41 works. The friction resistance in the cross direction in which the massaging ball 41a does not rotate is smaller than that in the vertical direction in which the massaging ball 41a rotates in the inner cover member 33 and the outer cover member 34.
