<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection property control layer and a display device enhancing a gloss and stereoscopic effect of an object. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a transparent thin plate 2 disposed at the front face of a display screen, whereby reflection properties are switched for each predetermined region, and a gloss effect processing part 1 switching the reflection properties of the transparent thin plate 2 according to an input image.
