<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit unauthorized detection of content while providing people other than the license owner of the content with opportunities to use the content legally. <P>SOLUTION: A content body includes a content ID, distribution medium information for specifying the distribution medium of the content, and identification information including distribution period information for specifying the distribution period of the content. When a content accepting module 140 receives content data, an acquisition way determining unit 142 obtains information on the way in which the content data is acquired. An identification information extracting unit 154 of a content validity determining module 150 extracts the identification information from the content data, and a validity determining unit 153 compares conditions specified by the identification information with a content acquisition medium and an acquisition period both of which are indicated by the acquisition way information, if the acquisition way information satisfies the conditions specified by the identification information, it is stored in a distribution content file 126.
