摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for preventing the deterioration of fuel consumption by improving transmitting efficiency of power in a power transmission device for vehicle with a differential mechanism whose differential action is operable and a motor. <P>SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission part control means 80 sets a transmission gear ratio &gamma;<SB>CVT</SB>of a continuously variable transmission part 20 so that an engine operation point P<SB>EG</SB>can follow a combustion efficiency optimum line L<SB>EF</SB>, so that an engine 8 is operated by the optimum fuel consumption, and to suppress the deterioration of fuel consumption. Also, a power transmission path between a differential section 11 and a driving wheel 38 is configured by the continuously variable transmission part 20 which is able to continuously change the transmission gear ratio &gamma;<SB>CVT</SB>, so that an engine rotating speed N<SB>E</SB>can be prevented from being constrained by a vehicle speed V by changing the transmission gear ratio &gamma;<SB>CVT</SB>of the continuously variable transmission part 20 without adjusting a first motor rotating speed N<SB>M1</SB>. Thus, the engine 8 is operated so that the engine operating point P<SB>EG</SB>can follow the combustion efficiency optimum line L<SB>EF</SB>while maintaining the differential section 11 to a differential state that transmission efficiency &eta;<SB>11</SB>is sufficiently high. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
