摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device suppressing luminance variation and improving the display quality. <P>SOLUTION: This active matrix type display device comprises a plurality of display pixels arranged in a matrix. Each display pixel has a drive transistor directly connected between a first power source and a second power source, an output switch which is on/off-controlled by a second control signal, a current driving type display element, a retention capacity, a pixel switch which is on/off-controlled by a first control signal, and a first switch. The drive transistor and the output switch are formed by P-channel type thin-film transistors, respectively. The voltage of the second control signal when the output switch (26) is turned on is set to be larger than a value obtained by adding the voltage of the first power source (Vss) and the voltage applied to the display element (16) during highest gradation display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
