<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sufficient joining strength by surely joining biological tissues when butt-joining the biological tissues, in particular. <P>SOLUTION: This instrument 1 for joining biological tissue is provided with: two pairs of electrodes 5, a power supply section for supply an electric power between the respective pairs of electrodes 5; a pressurizing mechanism 11 moving the respective pairs of electrodes 5, which are disposed at positions in the both sides of biological tissues to be joined, in the mutually approaching directions; an electrode moving mechanism 11 moving the pairs of electrodes 5 in the mutually approaching directions; and a control section for controlling the power supply section, the pressurizing mechanism 11 and the electrode moving mechanism 11; wherein the control section controls the power supply section to supply the power between the electrodes 5 with the biological tissues clamped between the two pairs of electrodes 5 at a predetermined pressure and then controls the electrode moving mechanism 11 to move the pairs of electrodes 5 in the mutually approaching directions in a state where the pressurizing mechanism 11 increases the pressure of the two pairs of electrodes 5 clamping the biological tissues. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
