ENGINE EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine exhaust emission control device for preventing an event that a fin device fixed into an exhaust passage is broken by thermal stress resulting from a temperature change.

SOLUTION: A plurality of fins 23 bent with spokes 24 as starting points are aligned on a base plate 22 in the peripheral direction to constitute the fin device 18. The fin device 18 is arranged in an annular step 31 formed on a flange 13a of the exhaust passage to form a clearance S between a rim 25 on the outer periphery of the base plate 22 and the inner periphery of the annular step 31. At the center of the spokes 24 adjacent to one another with fins 23 between, the rim 25 is welded to the annular step 31.
