PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object detecting device which enables attainment of two-dimensional position information on an object. SOLUTION: A linear antenna for emission and an antenna for entrance which propagate a plurality of signals different in a propagation speed are provided on one side of a subject space P. A reflection coefficient of a radio wave at each of detection points set at a plurality of places in the subject space P is calculated from a plurality of received signals and from a coupling loss of the radio wave at each detection point that is known beforehand.
