PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement suitable spring properties, by allowing exertion of an optimal air spring force, while reducing an amount of working fluid housed therein. SOLUTION: In a front fork, a fork main body constituted of a vehicle body side tube 1 and a wheel side tube 2 and incorporating a damper therein is urged in an extension direction by a spring force of a suspension spring S installed therein, and an air chamber A is formed in a reservoir chamber R and has a border of an oil level O between the air chamber A and an oil chamber. An oil chamber capacity reducing means 10 is disposed between a cylinder body 3 forming a camper and standing in the wheel side tube 2, and a wheel side tube 2. While a lower end of the oil chamber capacity reducing means 10 is held by a bottom part of the fork main body, an upper end thereof holds a lower end of the suspension spring S. The upper end of the suspension spring S is locked by an upper end part of a rod body 4 forming an upper end part of the vehicle body side tube 1 or the damper and vertically disposed in the vehicle body side tube 1.
