PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood denting preventing structure for effectively preventing the denting of an abutting portion between woods abutting perpendicularly on each other, inexpensively when installing a horizontal frame material such as a sill and a vertical material such as a column and adaptably when changing the cross section of a member to be used and when using tenoning or joining hardware. SOLUTION: In the structure of preventing the denting of the abutting portion between the woods abutting perpendicularly on each other, from the abutting wood 2 to the thrust wood 1, machine screws A1-A4 are threaded to an abutting face 5 of one abutting wood 1, and same-type machine screws B1-B4 are threaded to an abutting face 6 of the other abutting wood 2 on an almost straight line in opposition to the machine screws A1-A4. End faces a1-a4 of the machine screw heads are located on almost the same plane as the abutting face 5 of the threaded wood 1, and end faces b1-b4 of the machine screw heads are located on the almost the same plane as the abutting face 6 of the threaded wood 2.
