PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail apparatus of construction equipment which can prevent breakage of a handrail for ascent and descent more effectively and which enables a worker to grip it safely and securely. SOLUTION: The handrail apparatus 13 of the construction equipment includes a fastened band R, and a U-shaped handrail 16. The fastened band R surrounds a cylinder outer case 11 of a boom cylinder of a hydraulic excavator as construction equipment, and is fastened to the cylinder outer case 11. The U-shaped handrail 16 attached to the fastened band R is overhung to the side of the cylinder outer case 11, and has a gripping part 16a which makes possible gripping by the worker.
