PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle rear-bumper structure avoiding increase in repair costs and attaining improvement in design properties and functionality by prevent the vehicle-body rear-end part above a bumper reinforcement from being damaged in a case of a light rear-end collision of a vehicle as well as preventing a bumper face (a body part) from being damaged to eliminate replacement of the whole bumper face. SOLUTION: The vehicle rear-bumper structure has a back door 9 protruding rearward beyond the front end of a rear-bumper reinforcement 20. A bumper opening part 26 is formed at the part including at least a part of a rear-bumper face 25 that faces the rear-bumper reinforcement 20 from the rear side. An exterior member 30 provided separately from the rear-bumper face 25 is mounted to the bumper opening part 26 in a manner that exposes the rear part. The exterior member 30 includes a body part 31, facing the bumper reinforcement, that has a prescribed front/rear length so as to protrude further rearward than the back door 9 while facing the bumper reinforcement 20 from the rear side.
