PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press die and a press forming method which can perform two press formings, a base shape forming and an uneven shape forming. SOLUTION: The press die includes a cope 1 and a drag 2. The bottom face of the cope 1 and the top face of the drag 2 together are formed to a specified base shape. Further, either the bottom face of the cope or the top face of the drag is provided with specified grooves 5 at the positions corresponding to a specified uneven shape such as a dimple and a bead. When the uneven shape is formed after the base shape is formed, a supplementary forming material is interposed between the bottom face of the cope and the top face of the drag so that one press die serves as both a base shape forming die and an uneven shape forming die.
