<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing tetrafluoroborate where tetrafluoroborate can be produced at high yield and efficiently by a continuous process, an electrolyte containing tetrafluoroborate and a storage element with the electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing tetrafluoroborate is characterized by having a first step of dissolving boron trifluoride gas in an organic solvent, a second step of preparing a tetrafluoroborate solution by adding an equivalent or not more than stoichiometric amount of a fluoride (MFn wherein M is a metal or NH4; and 1≤n≤3) to boron trifluoride into the organic solvent and a third step of dissolving boron trifluoride gas in the tetrafluoroborate solution instead of the organic solvent by circulating the tetrafluoroborate solution to the first step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
