<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To comprehensively evaluate the degradation of display performance by color variation depending on the view direction during displaying a moving image. <P>SOLUTION: In a display evaluating method for evaluating a color reproduction characteristic during displaying the moving image, view-direction gradation data to a plurality of view directions is prepared at each display screen position of a display 21 to be evaluated. A sample image A is projected on the display 21 to be evaluated, and a prediction view image B viewed from an optional direction is analytically determined based on the view-direction gradation data. The sample image A and prediction view image B are scrolled and displayed at a constant speed on the display 21 to be evaluated, they are imaged following the scroll to obtain an image for evaluation, and color difference at a corresponding position in the screen between a sample image area and a prediction observation image area is determined. An evaluation value of the moving image color reproducibility of the display 21 to be evaluated is calculated based on the color difference. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
