摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive device which improves transmission efficiency in a power circulation state. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle drive device is equipped with a power distribution mechanism 36 which contains a first motor MG1 connected to a sun gear S1 of a planetary gear set 24, a second motor MG2 connected to a ring gear R1, and a third motor MG3 connected to a carrier CA1 and which controls the operating state of at least one of the motors to control a differential state between the input rotational speed and output rotational speed of a differential section 16, wherein the first motor MG1, the second motor MG2, and the third motor MG3 are configured each to be able to supply/receive electric power, thereby capable of improving, in particular, transmission efficiency in the power circulation state in which electric power generated by the second motor MG2 is supplied to the first motor MG1, by controlling the motors so as to appropriately perform power generation and power running. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
