PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a smooth gradation expression in a wide range in a printer. SOLUTION: In an inkjet printer, two kinds of driving waveform sets A, B of different weights of inks to be discharged are prepared. With the driving waveform set A, three kinds of dots of 4, 8, 12 ng set realizably in the densities of wide ranges of large carving are formed. With the driving waveform set B, three kinds of dots of 1, 2, 3 ng set to be interposed at the carving of the density formed with the driving waveform set A are formed. The dots are formed by two times of the main scanning using the driving waveform set A for each pixel and the main scanning using the driving waveform set B. 16 ranks of the dots can be formed in a wide range of 0 to 15 ng including non-forming of the dots by a combination of the dots formed by the driving waveform sets A, B.
