PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic toner stabilized in charged amount, obtaining sufficient image density, causing no ground fogging and extended in service life. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner contains at least binding resin, a colorant and an ionic liquid. The ionic liquid is one of a pyridinium-based ionic liquid, an imidazolium-based ionic liquid, an alicyclic amine-based ionic liquid and an aliphatic amine-based ionic liquid.
