PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method for a property of bending of an optical fiber which can measure the property of bending of the optical fiber with high accuracy, without applying an excess tension to the optical fiber. SOLUTION: In the method of measuring optical property and mechanical property for bending of the optical fiber by adding bending to the optical fiber, the optical fiber is put into a flexible tube, and the measuring method for the property of bending of the optical fiber is characterized by adding bending to the optical fiber by bending the flexible tube annularly.
