PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fall prevention shutter, maintaining a closed attitude even if a workpiece or, for example, a heavy load such as an engine falls, so that the workpiece does not fall on a floor. SOLUTION: The fall prevention shutter 1 comprises: a pair of shutter main bodies 3, 3', in which opposed tip frame parts 7a, 7a' gets close to each other or are separated from each other; closing fittings 5 disposed between the opposed tip frame parts 7a, 7a of the shutter main bodies 3, 3' and maintaining closed postures of the shutter main bodies 3, 3' when the engine 2 falls. Therefore, even if the engine 2 falls on the shutter main bodies 3, 3', the closing fittings 5 maintain closed attitudes of the shutter main bodies 3, 3' and thus the engine 2 does not fall on the floor.
