INTERNAL THREAD HOLE CLOSING PLUG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal thread hole closing plug for closing a hole with an internal thread formed on a body panel etc. of an automobile and having a relatively simple configuration. SOLUTION: The internal thread hole closing plug 11 for closing the internal thread hole 30 in a weld nut 27 and a hole 29 in the body panel 26 is composed of a flange 13, a support column 14 and elastic latching pieces 15, 17 extended from the support column toward the flange and away from the support column. Tips of the respective elastic latching pieces are engaged with inclined faces of a thread corresponding to a lead angle of the thread to align the axis of the support column with the axis of the internal thread hole. The pair of lower elastic latching pieces extended in one diametrical direction and centered on the support column and the pair of upper elastic latching pieces 17 extended in a diametrical direction intersecting with the lower elastic latching pieces 15 align the axis of the support column 14 with the axis of the internal thread hole when the support column 14 is made to pass through the internal thread hole.
