A method of listening paging is provided, the method includes: the message from the base-station is received by a terminal, in which the message includes the primary paging carrier information; the terminal listens the paging information by the primary paging carrier corresponding to the primary paging carrier information. A system of listening paging is also provided, the system includes: a base-station, for transmitting broadcasting information, which includes primary paging carrier information; a terminal, for receiving the broadcasting information from the base-station, and listening the paging information by the primary paging carrier corresponding to the primary paging carrier information in the broadcasting information.
