The method involves cutting a cooling tube (A) to a desired length and defining a closed end, a closed section and a contact section. The closed end and the closed section are closed. A larger contact area is formed by the contact section. The contact section is cut in such a manner that multiple longitudinal sections are produced. Parts of the contact section which are formed by the longitudinal sections are bent outwardly for forming a cross or floral form. The closed end is bent at an angle of 90 degree. An independent claim is also included for a cooling tube comprising a flat contact section.
