The mass balancing unit has a rotary gearwheel (11), rotary imbalances (13,13') and a bolt. The imbalances have maximal radius, which is determined by maximal distance of an outer surface of the imbalances from the rotational axis of the imbalance, and is larger than the outer radius of the gear wheel. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a mass balancing unit for balancing mass force or momentum with an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle.
