The connecting elements (1,2) have an actuator, which is controlled by an electrical signal. The connecting elements compensate a temperature-induced elongation (9) of a component (3) by a variation of lengths of the connecting elements (7,8). The lengths of the connecting elements are changed by the actuator, which is a piezoelectric element. The material is formed with a carbon fiber reinforced plastic material or a Kevlar(RTM: Strong para-aramid synthetic fiber) fiber reinforced plastic material.
