DUPLEX PRINTER AND DUPLEX PRINTING METHOD FOR LIQUID DEVELOPING ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHY

Provided are a duplex printer and a duplex printing method for liquid developing electrophotography, which can make a duplex print of higher precision. The duplex printer (50) for the liquid developing electrophotography makes the duplex print by developing an electrostatic latent image with a charged liquid toner and by transferring the liquid toner on the intermediate transfer member (2) to a first face of a printed matter (S) and a second face or the face opposite to the first face sequentially in the recited order, at a nip portion (N1) between an intermediate transfer member (2) and a backup roller (3), to which a bias voltage for sucking the liquid toner has been applied. The duplex printer (50) is constituted to comprise first toner fixing means (5) for heating and fixing the first face at a first heating quantity determined on the basis of the assumed dryness of the printed matter (S) before the liquid toner is transferred to the second face of the printed matter (S), and second toner fixing means (5) for heating and fixing the second face in a noncontact state at a second heating quantity determined to be larger than the first heating quantity.
