PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake allowing easy insertion of a friction pad. SOLUTION: In the disk brake, a return spring 65 is disposed on a friction pad 18 side. The return spring 65 has one end abutting on a side opposed to a disk rotor D of the friction pad 18 to urge the friction part 18 to be axially separated from the disk rotor D. One end part 76 of the return spring 65 is disposed at an intermediate part in a disc rotor diameter direction of the friction pad 18 in a pad insertion space 19 of a calliper CL, and the friction pad 18 is inserted in a portion between one end part 76 of the return spring 65 and a calliper CL opposed to one end part 76.
