PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel improved so as to eliminate the necessity of applying reinforcing treatment such as induction hardening to a hub shaft after the formation of the hub shaft. SOLUTION: The bearing device 1 for a wheel includes the hub shaft 20 having a substantially column-shaped shaft 21, a flange 22 projecting from the end of the shaft 21 in the circumferential direction and a curved portion 23 formed on the outer peripheral surface at the root of the flange 22, a substantially cylindrical inner ring raceway track member 10, and rollingly arranged rolling elements 6, 8. The inner peripheral surface of the inner ring raceway track member is secured to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft and the end of the inner peripheral surface on the side of the flange 22 contacts with the curved portion 23. Also, a raceway track 13 with which the rolling elements 6 contacts is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring raceway track member 10.
