PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly-accurate position detection by suppressing crosstalk, even when a capacitance between a plurality of electrodes is large, in an electrostatic detection device for detecting approach or a position of an object such as a finger of a person. SOLUTION: Grouping is performed so that each electrode having adjacent wiring is put into each different group, and while detecting a capacitance of an electrode in another group, an electrode in an undetected group is connected to a constant voltage.
