Disclosed is a disease model animal produced by administering a stimulant to the testis in a small mammal to induce both pain or a discomfort action and frequent urination in the small mammal. Also disclosed is a method for the screening of a therapeutic agent for pelvic pain syndrome, particularly non-bacterial chronic prostatitis, which is characterized by administering a substance to be tested to the disease model animal and detecting pain or a discomfort action and/or frequent urination in the animal.
