The system (1) has a stirring device (3) arranged proximate and sectionally to a bottom of the system. The stirring device includes a main rotational axis (31) that is vertically arranged. A screw conveyor (4) i.e. standard screw conveyor, is arranged below the stirring device in a direction of a horizontal plane in a usage position of the system in an exposed manner. The screw conveyor and the stirring device are effectively connected by an angular gear. The stirring device is supported on the angular gear and is driven by the screw conveyor. An independent claim is also included for a method for conveying the biomass to a biomass furnace from a storage chamber.
