POLYMER-SUPPORTED CATALYSTS, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME AND NORBONENE-ESTER COMPOUND USING THE SAME

Provided are a Lewis acid catalyst supported to polymerized ionic liquid, a method of preparing the same, and a norbornene-ester compound prepared by Diels-Alder reaction of cyclopentadiene and alkyl(meth)acrylate using the same. A catalyst is represented by the following chemical formula 1 or 2 where R is a C1-C6 alkyl group. The catalyst is obtained by reacting polymerized ionic liquid with AlCl3. The polymerized ionic liquid is obtained by reacting polypyridine or polyimidazole with akyl halide. A method of preparing a catalyst comprises the processes of: (i) reacting polypyridine or polyimidazole with akyl halide to prepare polymerized ionic liquid; and (ii) reacting the polymerized ionic liquid with AlCl3 to prepare an AlCl3 catalyst supported to the polymerized ionic liquid. The catalyst is represented by the foregoing chemical formula 1 or 2.
