<p>A angle measuring device is used to measure the pivot angle between the chassis and the swing arm (7) for the fodder removal tool (10). A processor unit uses the angle data to generate a correction signal for controlling at least one of the actuators for the four-bar mechanism formed by the tool, arm and connecting parts between the two. A fodder removal unit comprises a swing arm with one end pivotally connected to a horizontal pivot axle mounted on a mobile chassis, the other end supporting a fodder removal tool such as a cutter plate. The connection between the arm and tool is formed by a fixed length connecting part (11) and a variable length connecting part (12). A first actuator is formed by the variable length connecting part and a second actuator (13) with a variable length is mounted between the arm and tool.</p> |
