A coffin for funeral is provided to reduce the weight which is concentrated on bottom plate and firmly maintain the bond between the bottom plate and other plates. A coffin(10) for funeral comprises a coffin main body(11) and cover plate(27). The coffin main body has inner space(13) to place the main body inside and plural fixing grooves(19). The cover plate is connected to the coffin main body and formed in a form corresponding to cross section of the main body to cover inner space. A fixing protrusion corresponding to the fixing groove is formed at the edge facing to the fixing groove.
