<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinching detection device for a window glass, which can positively and quickly determine whether pinching occurs in a transient driving state beginning from an unstable driving state immediately after the start of driving of a motor to a stable driving state. <P>SOLUTION: According to the pinching detection device, an operation control section 12 detects a driving state of the motor 14 for carrying out opening/closing operation of the window glass by rotating forward/backward. When the operation control section 12 detects the driving state of the motor 14 in the transient driving period beginning from a time point immediately after the start of the driving of the motor 14 to a time point at which the driving of the motor is stabilized, if the driving state of the motor 14 does not converge to the stable driving state in spite of the lapse of time, the operation control section determines that the window glass pinches a foreign matter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
