<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate the function of epiregulin at an individual level, thereby clarifying the states of various diseases in which the epiregulin participates and providing means for treating the diseases. <P>SOLUTION: A non-human mammal used as an immunopathy model animal lacks the function of an epiregulin gene on the chromosome.
